Creative Arts
Our creative arts programs will provide joyful and meaningful experiences supporting children diagnosed with cancer and their families through Positively Creative, a unique program including arts and crafts, music performances, special birthday and holiday celebrations, and visits from comfort animals.

A Message From Erin Wittig
This project has been my desire for many years and now is being brought to light. My goal is simple: to bring a therapeutic approach to children through fun and creative projects. This is something that is core to me, and precious, something I’ve personally enjoyed since I was a young adult.
I used creative projects, thanks to my mother, Judith Wittig, to help me cope with an illness. The impact this had on my life is unexplainable. The mere presence of doing something creative brought me through hard times.
Doing creative projects has always been a passion, even in my teaching career. Teaching special education teacher for 7 years, in the inner city, has taught me many valuable lessons.
The first; never underestimate someone’s ability. The second; sometimes all one needs is a little boost of happiness. Creativity had brought my students and myself happiness, so why not others? Please join us in bringing happiness, peace of mind, fun, and creativity to kids and young adults struggling with cancer. Please help us bring them a few hours of joy to young people whose daily battles far exceed mine, and probably yours.
Thank you and I hope you are able to be a part of this amazing journey!
With Love,
Erin

Positively Creative Furry Friends
Seeking Partners in New Jersey!
As a new non-profit organization, PCFNJ is actively seeking partnerships with organizations who provide facility dogs expertly trained to help children with cancer and their families cope with the many challenges they face in the treatment and healing process. Facility dogs are trained from puppyhood to interact with children as a creative way to overcome the stress they may experience during a stay at the hospital.
We are also meeting with potential partners who can work with our children and provide equine-assisted activities for the patient, their siblings, families, and friends. As is the case with all our programs, we envision personalized visits and riding experience that will improve balance, posture, coordination, mobility, and a sense of independence and happiness. Depending on the type of cancer, age, and where each child is in the treatment and healing journey, such a program can also improve range of motion, muscle strengthening, and improved self-esteem and confidence.
Please contact us if you are part of an organization interested in partnering and bringing these joyful experiences to kids in New Jersey, and we will meet with you to identify and fund programs in partnership with #teampcfnj’s Positively Creative leaders.
